We believe we must be continually flexible and relevant in our approach to the presentation of worship elements as our church is led to reach more people "at the natural intersections of their lives." Within our communities, we believe in using music and the arts to point people towards the Gospel and Christ Jesus.
We believe that we are called to "sing a new song," even as we continue to uphold elements of traditional worship, as instituted or perpetuated by Jesus Christ (i.e., the Lord's Supper, the Lord's prayer, baptism, etc.).
"Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy." --Psalm 33:3
We believe we honor God through our development and employment of the gifts and talents of Restoration members. We wish to be good stewards of our talents and good shepherds of our people--to "play skillfully with a shout of joy."
The Worship and Creative teams work within that understanding to bring together--with Spirit-led intentionality--elements for corporate worship that honor God and point others to Jesus Christ; and, support the Scriptural framework and pastoral emphasis of a given Sunday service. We are "fully dependent on the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit" for all that we do.
We believe that worship is, ultimately, an interactive experience between God and an individual worshiper, directed by the Holy Spirit.
To this end, we come together weekly to corporately worship our God. We use different medium by which to convey the message each week: video, music, preaching, and any other means with which we feel equipped and which have been deemed appropriate.
In our times of worship and in our acts of worship, we seek to be God honoring, intentional, and engaging.
God honoring – We give God our best and we seek to glorify him rather than others.
Intentional – Every week we have a plan as we journey through our corporate worship experience. Our Creative Team and pastors have sought to connect every element of the service with the theme and message of the day to ensure that we cohesively lead people in worship.
Engaging – We seek to be as engaging as possible with as many people as possible, knowing that it is impossible to please everyone. The style of our worship is contemporary but we also seek to use other elements in our corporate worship which fit the theme and message of the day.
